What Is an Proactive Recruitment

Proactive Recruitment is about planning and strategy for roles in your organization. Sometimes that is through sourcing but often it is through funnel building focused on building relationships, resources, and rapport before you have a specific opening. 

For individual recruiters, this requires building relationships online in forums, social media, and connecting with a community of qualified candidates before there is a specific opening or by focusing on customized search and messages that is highly targeted once your recruiter is charged with filling a specific role. 

Proactive recruitment is about leveraging tools and technologies to connect you with candidates before they even know they are looking for a job. This is one of my favorite applications of artificial intelligence tools.
